Lois Jean McCurdy

Lois Jean Fowler McCurdy, 91, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, of South Park Township, passed away July 26, 2025.

She was born April 14, 1934, in Latrobe, the only child of John K. and Lotta E. Fowler.

Lois had many friends and enjoyed outings with family. She loved children, and spent many years caring for them as a nanny, as well as a lunch and bus aide in Bethel Park School District. In her younger years, she liked to bowl and play golf. She was especially proud of her hole-in-one at The Practice Tee.

She loved animals, reading, and everything in the color purple.

Lois was predeceased by her ex-husband and father of her children, William Murphy McCurdy.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Pamela Murphy; son Scott McCurdy, with whom she made her home; granddaughter Mandy (Mark) Schnirel; great-grandsons Hunter and Harrison Schnirel; and many cousins. She also leaves behind her beloved grand-dog, Maggie May.

Services will be private, arrangements have been entrusted to Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care, McMurray, PA.
