Lois Ann (Strange) Rothgerber, 80, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side. She was born on March 29, 1945 in Tallahassee, FL to the late James E. Strange, Sr. and Mary Isenberg Strange.

Lois was a graduate of Anegla Merici High School and received her master's in education from Spalding University. Lois was a dedicated teacher and taught for over 30 years for the Archdiocese of Louisville at St. Aloysuis in Pewee Valley, St. Therese, and St. Albert the Great. Lois was active member of Epiphany Catholic Church serving on numerous groups and committees always embracing and welcoming new members of the church.

Lois was preceded in death by her loving husband of 51 years David A. Rothgerber, Sr. her parents, and grandson Conner Barnett.

Lois is survived by, sons David A. Rothgerber (Mandy), Jeremy B. Rothgerber (Nancy), Nicholas J. Rothgerber (Brandy), and James E. Rothgerber; daughter Daven Barnett (Billy); grandchildren, Drew, Aurora, Lily, Noah, Finn, Kae, Josiah, Clay. Her siblings: Charlotte Silliman (Steve deceased), Mary Eichberger (John), Ginny Scott (Sammy), James Strange Jr. (Evelyn), Marty Stuecker (Joe deceased), and Barbara Beswick (Bud), along with many loving nieces nephews and grand nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm Sunday, October 5, 2025, at Ratterman Brothers Funeral Home East Louisville, 12900 Shelbyville Rd. 40243, and 10:00 am to 11 am at Epiphany Catholic Church, 914 Old Harrods Creek Road 40223.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 am Monday, October 6, 2025, at Epiphany Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens East

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or Catholic Charities of Louisville.
