Lois Mahan Shelden, 93, of Gray Court, and wife of the late John Hartley Shelden, passed away on Monday, April 14, 2025, at PRISMA Healthcare Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Lois was born in Gillette, WY, to the late Oza and Annabel Mahan, where she later served as a dietician in the Fruitland, ID area for years and then worked in the family construction business.
She is survived by her children, Dirk Shelden (Angela) of Spartanburg and Deborah Andrews (Gary) of Montana; son-in-law, George Hensen of Gray Court; brother, Jack Shelden of Boise, ID; 5 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, Lois was predeceased by a daughter, Susan Hensen; sisters, Berteva Powell and Lilian Moss; and brothers, Leo Mahan and Jerry Mahan.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Rabun Creek Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Jayson Payne and Rev. Jim Osteen. Burial will be in the church cemetery after the memorial service.
The visitation will be one hour prior to the service beginning at 10:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The American Cancer Society, PO Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741.
