Lonnie McLain Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Turner Funeral Home - Waynesboro on Dec. 31, 2025.
NOVEMBER 30, 1948 was the day Mr. Lonnie McLain was born in Wayne County, MS to the union of the late Mr. Ellis and Mrs. Clyda Mae (Overstreet) McLain. During his lifetime, he liked to go to church. Church was his life. A very family oriented man, Mr. Lonnie relished the time he would spend with members of his family. He also liked to fish and play cards. During his working life, he was a heavy equipment operator. On the evening of December 28, 2025, the LORD called Mr. Lonnie McLain to his home in eternity.

He leaves loving memories to be cherished by his four sisters: Sarah McLain Hendry, Yvon McLain Smith, Brenda K. McLain Cochran, and Ann McLain Freeman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepmother, Louise Martin; seven brothers: Jim McLain, Harold McLain, Herbert McLain, Dion McLain, Lloyd "Bud" McLain, E.L. McLain, and John McLain, and three sisters: Earlene "Sally" McLain Whitehead, Lynet McLain Craven, and Gennieve McLain Taylor.
