Lora Maureen Pecor, age 87, passed away peacefully on April 17, 2025. Born on September 12, 1937, in Omaha, Nebraska, she was the daughter of Harold and Ruth Kenworthy.
A devoted mother, Lora is survived by her daughter, Tina Marie Shepherd (Daniel), and her siblings, Betty Muntean and Camilla Cox. She leaves behind a legacy of love in her many nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends who will fondly remember her warm spirit. Lora was predeceased by her loving husband, George Pecor; her daughter, Ruth Ann Pecor; her brother, Paul Kenworthy; her sister MaryLee Kenworthy; and her parents.
Throughout her life, Lora reflected her passion for helping others. She was an active Girl Scout leader in her college years and dedicated her time to organizations such as St. Vincent De Paul, The Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA), and the Notre Dame Sisters. Lora had a special fondness for collecting bells, a symbol of joy and celebration, which she shared with those around her.
Friends and family are invited to join in celebrating Lora's life. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 3, at Wisconsin Memorial Park (13235 W Capitol Dr, Brookfield, WI 53005). The visitation will take place from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 AM. A luncheon will be provided afterward to further honor her memory and share stories of her remarkable life.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Brighton Hospice for their compassionate care, as well as the dedicated staff at Shorehaven for their support during this time.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Vincent De Paul, The Muscular Dystrophy Association, or the Notre Dame Sisters, in recognition of Lora's commitment to helping others.
