With deepest sympathy to the Robins family. Lora was a wonderful person to me. I use to call her every week just to say Hi and to see how she was doing. We talked about many things, from going to get ice cream, to a dance in the park. I became ill in late August, there for I did not call for a few weeks. I called yesterday only to find out that she had passed away. She was such a kind person with open arms to many. I will miss making my weekly call to her and talking about everything we wanted to do.
Take care and God Bless

As a member of the A.H. Robins domestic & International sales and marketing teams for more than 30 years, attendance at many company functions was standard. Perhaps the most memorable of these functions was the invitation to training classes for dinner at "Clearview". All of the 40 plus trainees of our class of 1958 were greeted individually by Mrs. Robins, and her comment was "these are my boys". The goodnight wishes that she imparted on all of us created a vivid memory. She was a great lady. Our condolances to the Robins family

What a beautifully written obituary to express about a wonderful woman from such humble beginnings and with her determination, strength and willingness to see the light in life with the underprivileged, as well as the privileged, she along side her husband made a business that was a major player in the pharmaceutical world. Women from this generation know the meaning of "stretching a dollar". I did not know Mrs. Lora McGlasson Robins, but I knew her husband, for my father knew him.
May your faith & strength sustain you at this time due to your loss.

"My sincere sympathy is extended to the Robins family. Mrs. Robins was a warm, compassionate, generous and kind friend. She cared deeply for the children in our community. On several occasions I had the pleasure of accompaning groups of Girl Scouts, who visited with her to remember her birthday and present her with a cake, campfire songs and gift baskets. It was a joyful and fun time for all of us, and she always extended an invitation to us to visit with her again, and so we did. We will deeply miss our Girl Scout "Angel." Lillie C. From some of Aunt Lora's Texas Family,
We are all saddened at your loss. Our prayers will be for all of her family during this sad time. For many years we have heard of the wonderful things she did during her long lifetime. She was the last of her John McGlasson family.
On a personal note, she came to my wedding and was like a fairy godmother with all the wonderful things she made happen to make our wedding day even more wonderful.

My prayers are with you all with the loss of your Mother. I have many fond memories of her as she drove us in her "pink Cadillac" to softball games in the 50's. Her laugh energy and generosity are something that still stay with me. What a footprint-heartprint she leaves with us all

Having kept in touch with this lovely and gracious lady through the years, I know that she did not change. Mrs. Robins was the epitome of grace and charm, with an absolutely incredible memory. She will be sorely missed by the devoted family she loved so much, and certainly all of Richmond will miss her, as well. I adored Mrs. Robins and I deeply appreciate her for the fabulous lady she was.
My condolences to the Robins family.
