Loren Marshall Nedrow, 82, of Mount Joy, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 20, 2025. He was born on January 28, 1943, to the late Lawrence Myers Nedrow and Frances Harriet (Marshall) Nedrow.

Loren grew up in King Ferry, New York as the son of the local grocer and his schoolteacher wife. His grandfather was the missionary and founding minister of the Lake Ridge Church of the Brethren relocated to King Ferry in 1934. Valedictorian of his high school class, Loren was the first in his family to complete a four-year degree, graduating from Elizabethtown College in 1965. While at Elizabethtown College, he met his future wife, Eleanor, whom he married in June 1965 at the Elizabethtown Church of the Brethren shortly after graduation.

After a short tenure as an auditor for Price Waterhouse in New York City, Loren joined National Cash Register as an accountant in Ithaca, NY. Over his 30+ year career at NCR, Loren relocated his family to Texas, Ohio & New Hampshire becoming the youngest plant Controller in corporate history. Most of his career, Loren settled near the NCR Business Forms plant in Mt. Joy, raising his two sons in Elizabethtown. For many years, he volunteered as the Treasurer of the Elizabethtown Church of the Brethren and their sponsored Boy Scout Troop 85. Later in his career, he relocated to Dayton Ohio as Director of Finance for the NCR Business Forms Division and soon returned to Mt. Joy as the Plant Manager until his retirement from NCR in 1998.

Upon his corporate retirement, Loren and Eleanor relocated to Billings, Montana for nearly 20 years. During this time, Loren worked with his son, Dave, at Keystone Construction in Billings. They enjoyed the peaceful open plains and moonlit nights along the ancient bluff of the Yellowstone River as well as the company of their grandchildren. From their log home, Loren could see across Montana’ big sky from the Beartooth Pass to the Bighorn Mountains in Wyoming. More recently, Loren and Eleanor returned to Mt. Joy where they have resided until his death on October 20, 2025. Loren enjoyed visits with his grandchildren, spy novels, and football - especially the Dallas Cowboys.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Eleanor Lois (Hall) Nedrow. In addition to his wife, Loren is survived by his children, Michael S. Nedrow and wife Kelly of Lancaster, David E. Nedrow and wife Beth of Austin, Texas; grandchildren, Ryan Nedrow and wife Karena of Johnson City, Tennessee, Austin Nedrow of New York, New York, Lauren (Nedrow) Mower and husband Joseph of Selinsgrove, Lyndsey Nedrow of Lancaster, Rita (Nedrow) Williams and husband Noah of Boise, Idaho; Jay Nedrow of Boulder, Colorado; and sister, Althea (Nedrow) Johnson and husband Noble of Elizabethtown.
