Lorene Chambers

Kissee Mills, Missouri

Lorene Faye Chambers, 92 years, 4 months, 24 days old, went home to Heaven on August 20, 2025, at Forsyth Health and Rehab Center in Forsyth, Missouri. Her family was by her side.

On March 26, 1933, Lorene was born in Roy, Missouri, to Clifford and Alta (Albright) Moore. She graduated from Ava High School in 1949.

Lorene and Dallas Chambers were united in marriage on December 23, 1950, in Dora, Missouri. Together they had five sons.

She was a homemaker and an important part of making a living as she did chores around the farm and often fixed meals for the hay hands. She was a great cook and mother and was active in church for many years. She also enjoyed working in the garden, canning, and crocheting. Lorene accepted Jesus at an early age and attended church her entire life. She was currently a member of New Vision General Baptist Church in Taneyville, MO.

Lorene was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dallas; infant son, Loren Lee in 1962; and sister, Pauline Hathcock.

Lorene is survived by her children, Galen and Joyce Chambers of Kissee Mills, Missouri, Glen Chambers of Granby, Colorado, Doyle Chambers of Bisbee, Arizona, and Ivan and Robyn Chambers of Colorado Springs, Colorado; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; one great great grandson; her sister, Shirley Snyder of Mt. Vernon, Missouri; numerous nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Lorene will be Saturday, August 23, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. in the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, Missouri. Visitation will be Friday, August 22nd from 6:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. in the funeral home. Burial will be in the Mt. Tabor Cemetery. Officiating will be her nephew, Pastor James Hathcock. Family requests memorials to Mt. Tabor Cemetery or Gideons International.
