Lorene Crockett, 62, born in Screven, Ga. and resident of Ludowici, Ga. passed away on July 30, 2025 at East Georgia Medical Center in Statesboro, Ga. She was born on January 30, 1963 to the late, Willie and Vary Bell Patterson-Mays. Lorene was educated in the Liberty County Public School System and had been previously employed with the local Huddle House Restaurant as a cook. In her free time, she enjoyed video games on her phone and conversations with her sister.

Lorene was preceded in death by both parents, Willie and Vary Bell-Patterson-Mays; her previous husbands, Bobby Crockett and Elvis Venable and a brother, Sylvester Patterson.

Those left to cherish her memories: her children, Vary (Daniel) Buono, Hinesville, Ga., Victoria Crockett, Brunswick, Ga., Cornelius Crockett, Ludowici, Ga. and Jermaine Crockett, Ludowici, Ga.; (8) grandchildren; (2) great grandchildren; her sister, Denise Mays, Ludowici, Ga.; her aunt, Annie Lee Armfill, Ludowici, Ga.; her uncles, Johnny C. Patterson, Ludowici, Ga. and Steven Patterson, Brunswick, Ga.; a close friend, Zettie Ruth Anderson, Ludowici, Ga. as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will miss her dearly.

There will not be a visitation on Friday, however, remains will lie in state from 11:00 am until the time of services at 1:00 pm.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2025 @ 1:00 pm at Royal Funeral Home Chapel, 247 W. Pine Street, Jesup, Ga. 31545

There will be a private Disposition held following services.
