Lorene Mason Meacham

Lorene Mason Meacham, born December 8th, 1934 in Aurora, Sevier Co., Utah to William Mark Mason and Alvis Ruth Hemmelwright Mason, passed away August 28, 2023 in Longmont, Boulder County, Colorado. She married Robert Gary Meacham on December 11, 1953 in the LDS temple in Manti, Sanpete CO., Utah. Lorene is survived by her three daughters, Debra Harrington, Terri Ungerman (Lindon Ungerman), and Shani Brewster (Wayne Brewster); her sister Carla Mason Peterson; four grandsons and four great grandchildren.

Lorene lived in many US states and also in Japan, France and Germany. She and Robert loved to travel and traveled extensively every chance they had. Lorene had a creative imagination, many talents, and a wonderful sense of humor. She was gifted at quilting and won several ribbons for her quilts at county and state fairs in Colorado. During her life Lorene wrote several children's stories and also enjoyed painting. In her later years, Lorene and Robert enjoyed scuba diving at locations around the world and became master divers.

Lorene spent many hours doing volunteer work to help children in her church and community. She also helped form and was an officer in the Colorado Springs South End Commercial Association to assist businesses in the area. Lorene enjoyed genealogical work and volunteered at the Colorado Springs Genealogical Library. She wrote several family histories for the Mason and Meacham ancestral lines and published a Mason family history book.

In a private service, Lorene's ashes will be scattered over her mountain ranch in Park County Colorado, where her family held many get togethers. She will be sorely missed by her family and friends.
