Lorenza Paramo, beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 18, at the age of 88, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born on August 10 in Juarez, Mexico, Lorenza lived a life filled with compassion, kindheartedness, and unwavering love for her family. She married the love of her life, Isador Paramo, and together, they built a beautiful life rooted in love, respect, and devotion. Their marriage was a true partnership, filled with laughter, steadfast support, and countless cherished memories.
A devoted mother, Lorenza raised four children with love, wisdom, and grace. Her home was always a place of comfort, filled with the inviting aroma of home-cooked meals and the joyful laughter of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she adored beyond measure. She was the heart of the family, always ready with a reassuring hug, wise advice, or a loving word. A woman of deep Catholic faith, she found strength in prayer, solace in her beliefs, and joy in serving others.
Lorenza loved crocheting and tending to her garden, which was her sanctuary. Whenever the weather was nice, she could be found outside, lovingly caring for her flowers. She never missed a chance to support her family's activities and always ensured no one went hungry. She enjoyed shopping in the mornings and, in the evenings, could often be found at home watching her favorite novelas. Lorenza took great pride in her Mexican heritage and found joy in sharing her culture through homemade tamales and tortillas, lively family gatherings, and traditions she lovingly passed down to future generations. Known for her warmth and generosity, she always put the needs of others before her own.
In her younger years, she was affectionately known as "the snow cone lady," bringing joy to many with her sweet treats and kind spirit. In recent years, she became "Lita" to countless friends and neighbors, a beloved figure in the community whose presence brought comfort and love to all who knew her.
Lorenza is preceded in death by her husband, Isador; her daughter, Patricia; and her great-granddaughter, Reagan.
She is survived by her loving children, Ruben (Cherie), Tony, and David (Tara); her treasured grandchildren, Crystal (Patrick), Sarah (Danny), Lindsey (Derek), Tyler, Andrew, and Taylor; and her great-grandchildren, Daniel, Andrew, Emery, McKenna, and Adam, along with countless family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
