Esteban Montiel passed away at William Beaumont Army Hospital on Wednesday April 23, 2025, in Ft Bliss, Texas. He leaves behind his wife of 40 years Sandra Montiel. Esteban was raised by his mother Virginia Lopez and Father Kiko Lopez alongside his sister and brothers. Esteban came from a large family and grew up with several Tios and Tias. He was a proud Veteran who served in the Navy Seabees. "We Build, We Fight!" He Loved being around family and friends the most and always had the best stories to tell about growing up. He loved fishing and would go when he could. He always wanted to serve his community and as his final wish will be donating his organs. He is preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Lopez. Dad Augustine Montiel. Brothers Armando and Cheche. His Grandmother Ramona and Grandfather Servando Jaime. Tios Manuel, Servando, Rudy, Peter. Tias Chuya, Chavela, Julie, Isabelle, and Mary. He is survived by his wife Sandra Montiel. Daughter Sarah Montiel. Grandchildren Swan, Wolf, and River. Father Kiko Lopez. Sisters Ramona and Christina. His best friends Greg Gonzalez and Dan Lucero. His Tio who stayed in the hospital to keep him company Ramon. His Tias Pancha, Polly and Vicky. And his beloved Cat, Max. The viewing will be at La Paz on Thursday, May 1, 2025 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Esteban will be cremated and buried at the Veterans cemetery. Family will be invited to a celebration of life.
