It is with heavy hearts and deep love that we announce the passing of John Gustave Palm, Jr., who went to be with the Lord on September 26, 2025, in Las Cruces, New Mexico. He was 82 years old.
John was born on April 7, 1943, in El Paso, Texas, to John Gustave Palm, Sr. and Francis Queseberry. He was a proud graduate of El Paso High School, Class of 1961, and a lifelong man of faith, family, and service.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Maria Teresa Palm, and their five children: Juan Ricardo, Samuel, Eunice, Sarai, and Deborah. He was a proud grandfather to Michael, Ricardo, Juanita, Elizabeth, Daisy, Summer, Autumn, Israel, Colton, Therrell, and Christian, and a cherished great-grandfather to Princesse, John, Royal, Jeremy, Zaiyah, Reign, Judah, Ezrah, and Joshua. He also leaves behind his loving siblings Margaret, Bobby, Noni, and Beverly, along with their children and many extended family members.
John lived a life marked by faith, humility, and compassion. He spent many years doing missionary work in Mexico, where he shared the love of Christ through both word and action. He also owned and operated a transportation business, combining his entrepreneurial spirit with his desire to serve others.
He was known for his quick wit, endless jokes, and generous heart. John never judged others-he loved as Christ would, with open arms and a kind spirit. Whether you needed a friend, a laugh, a prayer, or a helping hand, John was there.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Las Cruces First Church in Las Cruces, New Mexico. All who know and love him are invited to attend.
Though our hearts are heavy, we find peace knowing John is now in the presence of his Savior. His legacy of love, faith, and laughter lives on in all who were blessed to know him. To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of John, please visit our floral store.
