Betty Hamilton, of Las Cruces 88 born June 24th, 1937. "Betty Boop" as she was fondly known by everyone, passed away on September 17, 2025.
Betty was born in Las Cruces to J.T and Virdie Hudman. She was a proud member of the VFW 10124 in Las Cruces where she served as Madam President. She was also the last of a group of 6 couples that went on camping trips and all functions for the VFW. They were proudly nicked named at the VFW as the Dirty Dozen. They were always together for functions and fun. She was also a proud member of the Eagles in Arrey, NM. She was also proud of all her 1st place green chile cook-off she won at the Eagles.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents. Brothers Lloyd, Jim, Wilburn and Kenneth Hudman. Her children Sarah Jo Kirkley, Larry Kirkley and Bobby Jackson.
Betty is survived by her children, Sue Hall of T or C, NM, Deb Willey of Conroe, TX, Dennis "Butch" Jackson, Jerry Kirkley (Lisa), Cindy Kirkley, James Hilliard (Margaret) and Jackie Torres all of Las Cruces. She is also survived by her nieces that her parents adopted, Pat Johnson (David) and Betty Lorraine Dial (Joey). Many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She loved us all so much.
Honorary Pallbearers will be everyone that she loved and cared for.
Please wear blue or Betty Boop in her memory.
A funeral is scheduled for October 10th, 10:00am at La Paz Grahams Funeral Home with burial following at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
