Lorenzo Ignacio Silvas

Lorenzo Ignacio Silvas sadly passed away on May 6, 2024. He was born May 30, 2003 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Jose Silvas and Melissa Torres. Lorenzo is preceded in death by Paternal Grandfather, Jose Luis Silvas and Maternal, Grandfather Lionel Morin Sanchez.

Lorenzo was known for his kind and loving nature, always greeting others with a beautiful smile. He had a passion for fishing and excelled in this hobby, showcasing his talent as an avid fisherman.

His unexpected departure has left a void in the hearts of many. Lorenzo will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Lorenzo is survived by his father, Jose (Cindy) Silvas; mother, Melissa (Antonio) Torres; sisters, Destiny (Erik) DeLeon, and Emma Jo Silvas. He also leaves behind his adored nephews Leon and Atticus DeLeon; Maternal Grandmother, Susanna Sanchez, Paternal Grandmother, Gloria Silvas, and Great Grandmother, Francisca Garcia.  Additionally, Lorenzo leaves behind numerous aunts and uncles who will cherish his memory forever.

Pallbearers: Antonio DeLeon, Jorden Sanchez, Adrian Cantu, Aaron Echavarria, Gonzalo Echavarria, Isai Zamora.
Honorary Pallbearer: Leon Silvas. 

Visitation services will be held on Thursday, May 9, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Winsteads' Funeral Home in Mathis. The funeral service will be at 10:00 am on Friday, May 10, 2024 at Winsteads' Funeral Home followed by interment at Descanso Eterno II.

It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to a remarkable individual whose time with us was cut short.  Lorenzo's presence will be deeply missed but forever remembered with love and gratitude.  May he rest in peace knowing the he was cherished beyond measure.
