Lorether Thomas Obituary

Lorether was affectionately called Retha by her siblings and cousins. In 1969 she graduated from Lincoln High School in Jersey City, that same year she went to work at Chase Bank in New York City, and from there she worked in the Banking Retail and Media field as a biller, then retired in 2019 from Katz Media.
One of her best accomplishments was when she dedicated her life to Jehovah in 1971 whom she worshipped until her untimely death on October 11, 2025. Lorether loved field service and gave Jehovah her best according to her circumstances with her health.
In 1972 she married the late Donald Spencer Thomas, and from that union a precious daughter was born, Lorether Inor Lopez. She was known for great sweet potato pies, and she can fry some fish, Lorether was a wonderful mother and big sister she will be dearly missed!
Lorether was preceded in death by her parents Julian Jenkins, Sr and Henrietta Jenkins and one niece, Tracy Jenkins Bolden.
She leaves to mourn her precious daughter Lorether Lopez and a very precious son-in-law, Luis E. Lopez, Jr., siblings, Julian Jenkins Jr (Paula), Jerome Jenkins (Kim), Dora Ann Richardson (Shem), Paul Anthony Jenkins (Cheryl), bonus granddaughter, India Ynez Lopez, three bonus great-grandchildren, Luna, Luca and Iliana, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and spiritual family who all loved her dearly.
