Edith Margaret Loretta Bradford Allen, 82, of Blairsville, Georgia passed away peacefully on September 7, 2025 surrounded by her family. She was born on April 10, 1943, in Hahira, Georgia to the late Olan and Leona Bradford.
Loretta will always be remembered for her deep and abiding love for others. This love was evident to family, friends, acquaintances, and even strangers. She was an inspirational example to all those who knew her as "the wife of noble character" described in Proverbs 31:10-31. She loved studying the Bible and sharing Jesus with others. For over 30 years she taught the Ladies Bible Class at her beloved church home, Snellville Church of Christ. Her ministry there, which she carried out with the help of her husband, included catering and decorating for weddings and funerals, cooking for and delivering food to shut-in seniors, and ministering to the terminally ill.
She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Sidney; their sons, Stanley and his wife Marla, and Steven and his wife Angelique; three granddaughters, Maggie, Grace, and Edie; and her siblings, Jackie Bradford, Tommy Bradford and his wife Debbie, and Ann Kendrick and her husband Walker. She was preceded in death by her parents.
The funeral service will be held at Snellville Church of Christ at 3025 Lenora Church Road, Snellville, Georgia 30078. The family will receive guests Sunday, September 14, 2025 at 2pm and the service will begin at 3pm. The family will have a brief burial service at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA on Monday, September 15th at 9:30am. The service will be simulcast. Follow the YouTube icon link at the top of the church's webpage www.snellvillecofc.org.
