Loretta Marie Barrile

Loretta Marie Barrile (Charest), 77 of Watertown passed away on Wednesday, January 8th surrounded by her loving family at Mt. Auburn Hospital in Cambridge, MA.
Born to the late Charles F. Charest, Sr. and Greta R. Charest (Gorgone) on February 21, 1947 in Newton, MA.
Loretta was a loving daughter, mother, sister and friend who loved her family dearly and rarely missed an opportunity to place the needs of others before her own. Her unconditional love for her children and grandchildren was a beacon of light for all of them. Patient and kind Loretta always kept things in order and her artistry and attention to detail made every project she created when sewing, her own personal masterpiece. Her passion for cooking and making sure her family was provided for were always first on her list of priorities. Loretta worked in various capacities through the years but her time as a Certified Nurse's Aide gave her the privilege and honor of caring for others. She thoroughly enjoyed every moment she got to spend with her children and grandchildren. She was full of life's stories and would keep you on the phone for hours chatting about them. In her spare time, she loved watching cooking shows, America's Funniest Videos and all Boston sports but football and the Patriots were her favorite.

Predeceased by her beloved son Christopher D. Barrile and her siblings, Georgianna C. Lynch, Charles F. Charest Jr. and Anthony J. Charest.
Loretta is survived by her loving and devoted children Gwendolyn M. Aquaro (Charest) of Wakefield, John V. Barrile and wife Sabrina of Indian, Trail NC, Melody A. Barrile of Belmont, MA. Erik R. Barrile of Bridgewater, MA, Bonnie M. King of Chelmsford, MA and Randy C. Oliver and Wife Samantha of Dracut, MA, her sister Kathleen Magazu of New Hampshire and her best friend of over 55 years Glenn Ellis of Waltham, MA. In addition, 16 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren whom she cherished dearly.
Friends and Family are respectfully invited to gather and remember the love and friendship Loretta shared during visiting hours on Thursday, January 16th, 2025 from 4 pm to 6 pm in The Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco and Sons Memorial Chapels located, 773 Moody Street Waltham, MA. Parking attendants will be on duty.
Burial will be held privately for the family at a later date.
