Loretta Gay Barton

Loretta Barton, age 77, of Pataskala, Ohio, passed away on July 16, 2024. Born on October 4, 1946 in Red Jacket, West Virginia to the late Herman and Daisy (Edwards) Dudley. She was a high school grad who made her living taking care of family and home. Loretta was known for her love of her family, doing all the little things that bring families together--cooking, gardening, laughing, telling stories, kissing boo-boos, etc. She will be sorely missed.
Loretta was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Daisy; her first husband, Delmon L. Clay, Sr.; her second husband, Paul Barton; her son Delmon Clay, Jr.; her daughter, Barbara K. Clay; and granddaughter, Shannon M. Partlow.
Loretta is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Bryan and Kristy Clay; their children, Karina, Karah, Hope, and Luke; her daughter-in-law, Melissa Clay, who also survives Delmon Jr.; their children, Jessie (Joe) Hopper; her great-grandchildren, Caleb, Annabelle, and Levi Hopper through Delmon Jr. and Melissa; and her grandchildren through Bryan and Kristy, Daniel, Elania, David Soto, and Quentin Easley; as well as many other friends.
She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, Pataskala, Ohio.
The family is inviting friends for calling hours on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, from 11:00 AM - 01:00 PM at Pfeifer Woodyard Funeral Home, Reynoldsburg, Ohio. The service to begin at 1:00 PM with Pastor Dan Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Glen Rest Memorial Estate.
