Loretta Dausch Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Jessen Funeral Home & Simple Cremation - Whiteland on Jan. 21, 2025.
Loretta Dausch, 76, of Bargersville, Indiana, passed away peacefully on January 16, 2025, at Franklin Meadows in Franklin, Indiana.
Loretta was born on September 3, 1948, in Indianapolis, Indiana. She attended Manual High School in Indianapolis.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Hofmeister and Violet Mitchell Hofmeister, stepfather, Charlie Adams, son-in-law, Perry Wilhite; brother-in-law Bud Thompson; sister-in-law Ruth Hofmeister. She is survived by her husband, Paul Dausch; her three children: Marjorie Wilhite, Samantha (Josh) Gantt, and Erich Dausch; grandchildren: Donnie (Olivia) Overstreet, Jr.; C. Lawrence Wesley IV; Robert Wesley; Charlie Wilhite; Loretta Wilhite; Abigail (Connor) Perdue; Grace Wilhite; great grandchildren: Owen Overstreet and Cheyanne Overstreet; siblings: Leona Shepard; Frank Hofmeister, Jr.; Patricia (Gary) Rebennack; Cathy Thompson; Laura (Simon) Ross; numerous nieces and nephews; and close friend, Mickey Rodriguez.
In addition to raising a family and being a homemaker, Loretta also held several jobs. She was always very proud of being a CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant). She had fond memories of helping others and spoke of that experience often. Loretta also made an impact on others' lives in many other ways: as a girl scout and boy scout leader; in Eastern Star; or just by being Loretta. We can't begin to count the number of times people have called her a sweet and special lady and expressed how much they loved her. In addition to helping others, she also enjoyed crafts (most recently, diamond art), taking care of indoor plants, and her cats. She loved cats and children, camping and nature, and watching sci-fi.
Loretta will be missed very much by so many, but we will all smile fondly at the memories she has left us with. A memorial service will be held at a date yet to be determined. Loretta has requested donations be made to the Indiana State Parks or Cuddle Me Cat Rescue in lieu of flowers.
