Loretta Faye Flora, 83, of Rossville, passed away Thursday, January 25, 2024, in Lake Wales, Florida. She was born August 18, 1940, in Lafayette to Elmer and Margaret (Kinzie) Miller. She married Gerald Flora on September 20, 1959. He preceded her in death on December 3, 2022.
Loretta attended Rossville High School. She was a homemaker and cared for her family and supported her husband on the family farm for 50 years. She was a member of North Fork Old German Baptist Brethren Church. Her family will remember her quiet strength and her heart for helping others.
Loretta is survived by her children, Julia (Bruce) Deaton, Jeffrey (Marsha) Flora, and Janell Flora; siblings, Joyce (Rick) Root, Judy (Max) Welk; brother-in-law, Dave (Millie) Flora; seven grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter.
Along with her husband of 63 years, Loretta was preceded in death by her parents; brothers-in-law, Doran Hufford and James Brovont; sister-in-law Nancy Brovont.
Visitation will be held Saturday, February 3, 2024, at North Fork Old German Baptist Brethren Church from 9am to 11am, and 12pm to 2pm. Funeral services will be held at 3:30pm, Saturday at the church with burial to follow at North Fork Old German Baptist Brethren Church Cemetery.
