Loretta Susan "Momma Suzi" Gerfers, 70, was called to her heavenly home on Sunday, August 3rd, 2025. She passed away peacefully in San Antonio, Texas with her family by her side. Suzi was born to Wayne and Joann Nance in Dallas, TX on September 14, 1954 and graduated from John Marshall High School in 1972. Suzi worked alongside her husband Johnny to operate a trucking business and then a concrete contracting business while also being a great mother to their 2 sons. Suzi's love of family and friends was her greatest joy, and she made sure that all felt her unconditional love and servant's heart. So many family and friends have fond memories of "Momma Suzi" taking care of them, being a shoulder to cry on, or simply providing an open door to come in and feel at home. Suzi is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Johnny, her two sons & their spouses, Blayne & Susan Gerfers, Jaycob and Jenny Gerfers, her eight grandchildren, Wyatt, William, Lyla Kate, Everett, Ellis, JJ, Johnni, & Skylar.

A Memorial will be held to celebrate her life on Friday, August 15th at 3pm at Currey Creek Church, 35 Cascade Cavern, Boerne, TX 78015. Reception to follow at Mikey's 25930 I-10, Boerne, TX 78006

Uncle AUBRY TUCKER

August 14, 2025

As a proud teenage uncle I loved Susie the moment I held her in my arms when she was born and I loved her ever since, my Mother also loved her very much. Susie always had kind words and a beautiful smile for me all the time. I know she was very proud of her boys and that she loved her family very much. Anytime I think of Susie in the future I will always remember that beautiful smile.
