Loretta Jean Mongelluzzo, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on September 13, 2024, at the age of 83. Born on January 31, 1941, in Detroit, Michigan, Loretta lived a life full of grace, love, and generosity.
Loretta was known for her unwavering dedication to her family and her vibrant spirit. Her kindness and warmth touched everyone she met. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of her life, and she reveled in their achievements and joys.
Loretta was passionate about serving others and loved to cook for her family. She was proud of her accomplishment of completing airline school in New York City. Loretta loved her part-time job at Target.
She is survived by her husband, Anthony Mongelluzzo of 64 years. Her two sons, Anthony (Aris) and Alan (Tracy); her 4 grandchildren, Danielle (Brian), Anthony, Vincent, Ben, Laci and Lindy who adored her; and 4 great-grandchildren, Harper, Milo, Leo, and Grayson that she cherished more than anything. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Regina and Dominic DeSantis.
A mass for Loretta will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, September 16, 2024, at St. Barbara Roman Catholic Church -111 Raymaley Rd, Harrison City, PA 15636. Burial will follow at Twin Valley Memorial Park - 483 Athena Dr, Delmont, PA 15626
Loretta Mongelluzzo will be remembered for her generous spirit, her love for her family, and the countless lives she touched. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished in the hearts of those who knew her.
