Loretta A. Weiss

WARREN – Loretta A. Weiss, age 73, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at home. She was born February 18, 1952 in Richwood, West Virginia, the daughter of Harry R. and Irene M. (White) Shaver.
A 1971 graduate of LaBrae High School, Loretta was a first-class homemaker, providing a warm and safe space for her family. She worked at Packard Electric from the late 1970s to the early 1980s and also delivered newspapers for the Tribune Chronicle. She loved flowers and had more house plants than you could count, in addition to her outside plants. When at home, she liked to watch Lifetime TV and horror flicks. When away from home, you could find her at garage sales and flea markets, both buying and selling. She was rarely without gum or Dunkin Donuts. There was no bigger Elvis fan. She loved to color, she was partial to elephants, and she always had her Vicks close by. Nothing was more wonderful than her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Loretta had four children: David Weiss, who has been missing since 2011, Jennifer Husman, who passed in 2014, AJ Weiss (Charles Lawson) of Akron, and Hollie Summerlin (Gregory Howard) of Warren. She is also survived by her loving partner of thirty-six years, Bo Summerlin; her grandchildren: Tyler, Courtney, and Samantha; her great-grandchildren: Tyler, Jr., Tobias, and Enzo; her sisters, Wilma Barker of Braceville and Barbara Gettings of Hubbard; her brothers: Johnny of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Harry (Patty) of Newton Falls, and Chuck Shaver of Leavittsburg; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours for Loretta are 4:00 to 6:00 pm Monday, December 1, 2025 at Staton-Borowski Funeral Home, where services will begin at 6:00 pm Monday. All who knew and loved Loretta are welcome to attend and celebrate her incredible life.
The family wishes to extend a special "thank-you" to Buckeye Hospice and Palliative Care, and especially to nurses Rebecca and Brenda, for the wonderful and loving care they provided to Loretta and her loved ones in this difficult time.
