Lori Marie Dougherty, 64, passed away on June 20, 2023 in Columbus, Ohio. She was born to parents Dorothy Lucas Kazee and Edgel William Kazee on February 27, 1959 at the White Cross Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. Lori’s siblings included Carolyn Pyles, Bernice Carson, Bill (Iming) Kazee, Steven Kazee, and many nieces and nephews. She married her loving husband, Dominic Dougherty, in Columbus, Ohio on June 25, 1993.
Lori graduated from Hamilton Township High School in 1977 and World Harvest Bible College in 1993. She was apart of many ministries including Healing the Brokenhearted – Breakthrough Ministry, Pathways to Hope and Healing, School of the Prophets – Marion Christian Center in 1997, Prayer Line Ministry, Nursing Home Ministry (5 years), Praise and Worship Ministry (2 years), and Prophetic Teams at several Churches.
In high school, she enjoyed gymnastics and cheerleading. During her adult years, she enjoyed gardening, cooking, and interior design. Lori was employed at Arc Industries, Inc. and Archer, Meek, Weiler Insurance from 1982 – 1991.
Lori was particularly gifted in her ability to talk to just about anyone at any time and minister whatever the Lord would want her to. She had compassion for those in need and thought it was nothing to drop whatever she was doing and meet the needs of others. She saw it as her reasonable service. A truly warm-hearted woman.
Lori particularly enjoyed travels to Mexico and the Caribbean with her husband. Learning about new cultures fascinated her. She enjoyed meeting new people, trying new foods, relaxing poolside, and walking the beaches; which were all great ways for her to recharge. To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
