Lori Ann (Holmes) Downs left this world behind for a better place on February 17, 2025, surrounded by her husband of 35 years, Dean Downs of Little Rock, her beloved mother, Sandra Holmes, and brother Jerry Holmes Jr., both of Searcy.Lori was born July 3, 1966, in Little Rock.
A joy to be around, she wore an infectious smile to match her big heart. She never met a stranger especially if they wanted to talk fishing. Her best days were found on the beach or camping on the Buffalo River with friends and family or even watching the horses run with her sister-in-law Karen.
Lori gave her heart to the Lord as a young girl and was baptized at Hilldale Baptist Chapel. Her faith never wavered, even in her fight against the devastating cancer that caused her to leave us too soon. She loved her family and friends from a heart that knew no bounds. Facing her battle with courage, Lori fought valiantly till the end.
Lori is survived by her husband, Dean, mother Sandy Holmes, brother Jerry Homes Jr. (Brandie) nieces Maddie and Piper Holmes and many close family members and friends who adored her. She was preceded in death by her father, Jerry Holmes Sr., grandparents Morris and Alma Holmes, and her dear Nanny, Gladys Henderson. As we honor Lori's life, her memory will be cherished in our hearts forever.
