Lori Christine Elkins, age 69, of Murfreesboro, TN, passed away peacefully on October 11, 2024, surrounded by loved ones and under the compassionate care of Alive Hospice. She was born on July 22, 1955, in Nashville, TN, to the late Carl Elkins and Thelma McCord.Lori is survived by her beloved son, Shayne Baugh; her sister, Angela Elkins Campbell, with whom she shared many close memories and a mutual love for decorating; her nieces, Tonya Jansch, & Monica Anderson; and her cousin, Betty Jo. She was a loving mother, sister, aunt, cousin, and a cherished friend to many.Lori was known in her community for her dedication to her work at the local hospital, where she spent many years handling insurance claims with diligence and care. Her kind heart and professional commitment made a lasting impact on the lives of countless patients and families. Lori was a woman of quiet strength, unwavering faith, and deep compassion.Lori loved to draw, paint, play guitar, and sing. She expressed her creativity through these passions, filling her life and home with music and art. She also had a love for home decoration, taking pride in making her space beautiful and inviting. Gardening was another of her joys, and she spent hours tending to her flowers, sharing their beauty with friends and neighbors. Lori enjoyed reading and passed on a love of learning and curiosity to her family.The family would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to Alive Hospice for their exceptional care, which provided comfort to Lori and her loved ones during her final days.A private family memorial will be held to honor Loris life. The family deeply appreciates your thoughts, prayers, and support during this time.
