Lori J. Geoffroy, 58, of
West Warwick, Rhode Island, passed away on Sunday, October 5, 2025 after a courageous battle with a glioblastoma for the last nine years. She was surrounded by the love of her family. Born on September 29, 1967 in Providence, RI, she was the cherished daughter of Florence "Jeannie" (Mignanelli) Geoffroy of West Warwick and the late Robert N. Geoffroy.
Until her diagnosis in 2016, she was employed at Target and previously worked at Walmart. Already her best friend, Jeannie immediately became Lori's full-time caretaker and her greatest support throughout her cancer journey. Her brother, Robbie, who she always protected fiercely, and her sister, Michelle, who she loved to tease, were vital components of her battle. Lori will always be remembered by her family and friends as a true warrior with incredible strength, courage, and determination.
Lori was a lifelong fan of traditional country music, especially James Bonamy, Keith Anderson, and Kenny Chesney. For 14 years, she and Jeannie traveled to Nashville, TN to attend the four-day country music festival, Fan Fair, which later became the CMA Fest. During those festivals, they jumped between venues, tracking down their favorite artists, collecting autographs and souvenirs, and creating lifelong memories that can be found in numerous picture albums in their home. Lori was a super fan of the TV series, Supernatural, and loved collecting posters, t-shirts, and other memorabilia from the show, especially if it included Dean Winchester. She also had a deep appreciation for history and loved the color purple.
A straight-shooter, Lori never left you wondering where you stood with her. She was honest and didn't mince her words. When she was passionate about an interest, you knew it. She was funny and deeply loved and cared for her family and friends.
Lori's memory and light live on through her mother: Jeannie of West Warwick, sister: Michelle Perry and her husband John of Coventry, brother: Robert "Robbie" Geoffroy of West Warwick, niece: Shelby Perry, and nephew: Cameron Perry.
Calling hours will be Friday, October 10, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home, 659 East Greenwich Avenue, West Warwick. A Celebration of Life will take place at the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, followed by burial at St. Ann's Cemetery in Cranston.
Lori's family would like to acknowledge the immense support they received throughout the last nine years, including those from the Country Drive neighbors who provided unyielding love, the Continuum Hospice team, and many other friends who are like family.
