Lori Lynn (Barker) Maxey, 63, of Greenfield, Indiana passed away on Sunday, October 1, 2023. She was born February 22, 1960 in Indianapolis to the late Floyd and Margaret Christine (Kirkham) Barker.
Lori was an avid reader of science fiction and mystery books. She collected thimbles, masks and lighthouses. She also loved watching her grandchildren play sports, and enjoyed taking them places when they were growing up. She was a member of Villa Baptist Church. Lori worked for Hook's Drug Store for twelve years, but spent almort twenty three years of her work life with Sigma Theta Tau International (an honor society for nursing). She received her Bachelor's Degree in accounting, and an Associate Degree in computer science at the University of Indianapolis.
Lori is survived by her soul mate of almost thirty-three years, Dennis R. Maxey Sr.; sister, Brenda and brother Bryan Barker; stepchildren, Jennifer and Dennis Maxey Jr.; five grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
Services for Lori are Friday, October 6 at 6:00 PM at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory-Frankin Township Chapel with visitation at the funeral home from 2:00 PM until time of service.
