Lori Ann Neese

Lori Ann Fowler Neese, 62, of Julian, NC, passed away at her beloved home on Thursday, December 11, 2025 surrounded by her family.

Born in Sunbury, PA, she was the daughter of George Oliver Fowler and Betty Arlene Hicks Fowler, and attended Danville, PA area schools. Her family moved to Charlotte, NC in 1980 where she met the love of her life Calvin Neese. They got married on October 23, 1982 at Mt. Hope United Church of Christ and they enjoyed 43 years of marriage. Lori is the mother to Matthew Neese of Julian, NC who was her pride and joy. She was co-owner of Calvin's Construction alongside her husband, most recently working with windows and doors.

Throughout her life, Lori was known for her talents of baking, gardening, shopping, and project creativity as well as her generous spirit. She showed great love for her family, nature, and animals and could be found many days working on home projects with her husband and son, or running through the malls with the ladies of the family. She was a very active volunteer for Guilford County Schools where she formerly served as President of the PTA at Nathanael Greene Elementary school and led many projects, including the nature trail that she took great pride in.

In addition to her husband Calvin, son Matthew, and mother Betty, survivors include a step-son John Calvin Neese Jr. and wife April of Denton, NC; three grandchildren, Samantha, Mason, and Sarah; five siblings, Vincent Fowler and wife Jane, Gail Hort and husband Frank, Mike Fowler and wife Tracy, Joanne Webb and husband Sam, Ray Fowler and spouse Michelle; five sister-in-law's, Joyce Faircloth, Nellie Foster and husband Bradley, Sandy Moore and husband Mike, Glenda Cassidy and husband Phil, Teresa Russell and husband Steve; two brother-in-law's Ray Neese, Leland Neese and wife Sue. She was proceeded in death by her father George Fowler, brother Nick Fowler, and brother-in-law Tommy Neese.

A memorial service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Tuesday, December 16, 2025 from 3:00 until 5:00 pm.
