Lori Sextro Obituary

Lori Sextro

January 23, 1967 - December 27, 2024

GRAND ISLAND - Lori Sextro, age 57, of Grand Island, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 27, 2024 at Bryan West Hospital in Lincoln.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 3 at 11 a.m. at St. Pauls Lutheran Church with Pastor Jeff Pedersen officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 2, from 5 to 7 p.m. at All Faiths Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to the family for future designation. All Faiths Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements. Condolences can be left at www.giallfaiths.com.

Lori was born on January 23, 1967, in Grand Island, to Loel and Sandra Luft. She grew up in Grand Island and graduated from Northwest High School in 1985. After graduation she moved to Omaha to stand on her own where she then met Greg. They were united in marriage on June 13, 1998. They then lived in Rochester, Minn., for five years before moving back to Grand Island in 2001.

Lori lived and breathed through those she loved, as a mom, wife, daughter, sister, and friend. Supporting Greg throughout his career, while raising the three boys in school and sports. Lori's greatest pride and joy was being a mom and a wife. She gave her whole heart each day, being there every step of the way with open arms and helping hands to put others first, never missing a chance to bring loving gifts, even for the dogs. She will be dearly missed by everyone's lives she touched with such a giving heart.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Greg; sons, Tyler, of Billings, Mont., Kyle, of Omaha, and Dylan, of Lincoln; sister, Kelli (Joe) Bauer, of Overland Park, Kan.; and their children, Alec and Cole; mother and father-in-law, Phil and Lois Sextro, of Grand Island; sisters in-law, Kim (Will) Kemptar, of Ravenna, Kristi (Travis) Meier, of Gretna, and Karla Sextro, of Omaha; and numerous other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Lori was preceded in death by her parents, Loel Luft and Sandra Luft.
