Lori Ann Webster, age 53, passed away in her home in
Colorado Springs, Colorado, on Tuesday, January 27, 2026.
Lori was born on November 9, 1972, in
Riverside, California, and spent the majority of her life in Southern Indiana, where she planted deep roots and built a life centered on family and friendship. A graduate of North Harrison High School, she began raising her family in Eckerty, Indiana, a place where many of her most treasured memories were made.
She was a devoted and loving mother whose greatest joy was her children Morgan, Lauren, and Stephen. Lori was unwavering in her support of their interests and adventures, faithfully present at sporting events, H activities, and every meaningful milestone along the way. Her pride in her children was evident to anyone who knew her.
After dedicating many years to raising her family, Lori achieved a long held goal by earning degrees in Radiologic and Imaging Sciences and Health Services and obtaining her ARRT license through the University of Southern Indiana. She went on to build a career she genuinely loved as a Radiologic Technologist at 3DR Labs. Her strong work ethic and passion for helping others shone through in everything she did, and her fulfillment in this work was deeply felt by those closest to her.
Lori was a hopeful romantic at heart, with a love for classic stories and moments that stirred the soul. Dirty Dancing was a household favorite, so much so that she traveled several times with her daughters to the iconic lodge in Pembroke, Virginia, and lovingly named her sweet pup Johnny Castle. She embraced life with curiosity and enthusiasm, enjoying travel to national parks, leisurely cruises, hiking, kayaking, and golfing with family and dear friends. Her spirit was nourished by sunshine wherever she could find it, even if that meant a vase of tulips brightening the winter months.
When she couldn't be outdoors, Christmas was where Lori truly came alive. She delighted in creating meaningful traditions, decorating her home with joy and intention, and faithfully reading 'Twas the Night Before Christmas each Christmas Eve, a cherished ritual that will forever echo in the hearts of her family.
In recent years, Lori spent a brief season in Mississippi where she welcomed her cherished cat, Melvin before settling in
Colorado Springs, Colorado. There, she found herself closer than ever to the great outdoors and just steps away from her next adventure.
She is survived by her twin sister, Tina (Frank) Welch of Bremerton, Washington; daughters Morgan Welch of Corydon, Indiana and Lauren (Winston) Murphy of
Colorado Springs, Colorado; son Stephen (Katlyn) Welch of Jeffersonville, Indiana; grandson Stephen "SJ" Welch, Jr.; a circle of nieces and nephews; and a lifetime of dear and cherished friends.
Lori will be remembered for her deep curiosity about the world around her, her generous heart, and the genuine joy she found in family, friendship, and meaningful work. Her warmth, devotion, and adventurous spirit will live on in all who were fortunate enough to know and love her.
The family appreciates your thoughts and prayers and asks for privacy at this time. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
