Lorilee “Lori B” Benson, age 65, passed away peacefully on October 12, 2025 at the CountrySide Living Home in Grasston, MN.
She was born September 12, 1960 to Kermitt and Margery (Kostman) Benson in Shakopee, MN.
Lori lived a life filled with strength, compassion, and quiet courage. She was a proud and dedicated member of IBEW Local Union 110 for 35 years, breaking barriers for women in the trades and becoming a beloved part of her union family. She stood strong for what she believed in, always lending her voice—and her hands—to support others.
More than anything, Lori loved her family deeply and unconditionally. She is survived by her daughters, Erin (Justin) Pfaff of Pine City and Kylee Warke of Florida, who were her pride and joy; her three adored grandchildren, Annabelle Pfaff, Holden Lawless, and Selah Rodelo, who lit up her world. She also leaves behind her former partner and longtime friend, Craig Warke of Montana.
Lori was one of four siblings and shared a special bond with her sisters, Melissa (Chuck) Biza and Vicki (John) Hejny, and her brother Douglas Benson al of Florida. She was the fun-loving, fiercely supportive aunt to her nieces and nephews, all of whom she held close to her heart.
She was preceded in death by her loving mother, Margery Kostman, and her father, Kermit Benson, who no doubt welcomed her with open arms.
Lori had a heart as big as the sky—always kind, always giving. She treated everyone she met with respect and warmth, and she never hesitated to help someone in need. Whether she was casting a line on a quiet lake, sharing a laugh with family, or doting on her grandchildren, she brought comfort and joy to those around her.
A memorial service to celebrate Lori’s life will be held at a later date.
Flowers are welcome and may be sent in her honor when service details are announced. The family thanks everyone for the love and support shown during this time, and encourages those who knew Lori to carry forward her legacy of kindness, generosity, and strength.
