Loris E. "Pops" Charland, 58, of Osceola, formerly of Syracuse, passed away unexpectedly on Monday January 8, 2024. Loris was born in Syracuse, NY on June 15, 1965 son of the late Charles and Theresa Charland. Loris was employed at ABC Refrigeration in Syracuse. Pops enjoyed hunting, fishing, the outdoors and was an avid Dallas Cowboys Fan. His pride and joy was spending time with family especially his grandchildren.
Loris was predeceased by his parents, sister, Kalene Kirkpatrick and brother, Robert Charland.
He is survived by son, Corey Charland, daughters; Serena Warren, Julie Charland, Jordanne Charland and Payton Billington, son, Joseph Billington, two sisters; Brenda Romeo, Melissa Charland, his feline friend, Tigger, six grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday January 16, 2024 from 10am - 12noon at New Comer Cremations & Funerals,705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse, with services at 12noon. Burial will take place at Pine Plains Cemetery, Clay.

I can remember go to loris's house and having bond fires and just sitting and talking and having a great time. he always made everyone laugh. I sure will miss that.
