MIDDLETON—Lorna Lee Everson, age 81, passed away at her home on Monday, December 11, 2023. She was born on March 17, 1942 in Reedsburg, WI, the daughter of Adelbert and Ethel (Nelson) Everson.
Lorna graduated from Wisconsin Dells High School in 1960. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree from UW-Whitewater in 1964.
Lorna was a teacher for a short time after graduation and then an actuary in Brookfield, WI until her retirement.
Lorna was a member of the Waunakee Quilting Group and a longtime supporter of the Sierra Club and The Nature Conservancy. She enjoyed quilting, reading, and birdwatching.
Lorna is survived by her brothers: Del and Vern (Virginia); nieces Lorna Marie (Doug) Rogahn and Jennifer (Richard) Gehrke; and nephews Trevor and Derrick Everson. She was preceded in death by her parents, and sisters Jean Everson and Carol Lewis.
Visitation will be from 1-3:00 PM on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at Cress Funeral Home SUN PRAIRIE. A Spring of 2024 burial will be held at Newport Cemetery in Wisconsin Dells.
