Lorna B. (Gullbrand) Hammarstrom, 94, passed away on Wednesday, May 24th in Care One Millbury after a period of declining health.
Her husband of 68 years, Paul Hammarstrom died Nov. 30, 2022. She leaves a son Robert P. Hammarstrom of Worcester and a daughter Janet L. Hammarstrom of Sutton and many nieces and nephews who all loved her dearly. She was predeceased by two sisters Ruth Peterson and Dorothy Schonning.
Lorna was born in Worcester, daughter of Emil and Ellen (Johnson) Gullbrand. She was raised in Quinsigamond Village and lived there her entire life. She was a life long member of the Quinsigamond United Methodist Church, she sang in the church choir and was a very active member for many years. Lorna worked at Svea Bakery before she was married and loved decorating the cakes. After marriage she became a homemaker and loved caring for her family. She loved spending time with her large extended family at their camp on Lake Singletary.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 7th at 11:00 AM in All Faiths Cemetery, Island Road, Worcester. Callahan, Fay & Caswell Life Celebration Home is directing funeral arrangements.
