Lorna G. Osborne, 88 years old, resided in Springfield, Oregon passed away in her home on August 20, 2024.
Lorna was born on December 23, 1935, to Emil and Lottie Gempler in Minnesota. After she graduated from high school in 1953, she went on to study education. Lorna was certified to teach grades 1 – 8 and taught general education for 3 years in a one room country schoolhouse.
In 1955 Lorna married her high school sweetheart Royce Osborne where they made beautiful music together for 69 years. Lorna passed her love for music down to her 4 daughters, Gaylene, Jolene, Angela and Stephanie. While raising her family she continued to teach music and piano lessons in their home. Lorna was creative and had an eye for design, she loved sewing and crafts and was always working on the next project.
Lorna became grandmother to 9 grandchildren and great grandmother to 13 great grandchildren. Her greatest pride and joy was her family and her church.
It's with the deepest sorrow that we need to temporarily say goodbye to the matriarch of our family, until we meet again. A memorial service will be held at 1pm on October 5, 2024, at Ebbert United Methodist Church, located at 532 C St, Springfield, OR 97477.

We use to spend Sunday afternoons at Grandma Persons. We are first cousins, born I year apart, and a cousin one year younger.
