Lorraine entered her High School years, attending 10th, 11th, and 12th grades at El Reno High School, graduating in 1971. During her high school years, Lorraine worked at Jobe's Drive Inn as a car hop.

Lorraine accepted Christ at an early age. In March of 1969, Lorraine married Wilbur L. Burton. To this union, one child was born on March 16, 1969. Kenny Ray Bruton was brought into this world to be with his parents, Lorraine and Wilbur Bruton. In 1971, Lorraine had her second child, Craig Lamar Bruton. Lorraine raised her boys until Kenny was 4 and Craig was 2. She wanted to further her career in nursing, and her mom and dad raised the boys until they graduated from El Reno High School.

Lorraine also attended Canadian Valley Vo-Tech under the direction of Mrs. Rosemary Klepper and Mrs. Pippin (Shrum) in the LPN Nursing Program. Lorraine received her LPN as a 1977-78 graduate of Canadian Valley Vo-Tech. Lorraine was employed with Baptist Hospital in OKC, Parkview Hospital, Cottonwood Manor in Yukon, Xerox in Yukon, and Dexter Axle in El Reno.

Lorraine Perkins Bruton joined the Army National Guard of Oklahoma as a Reserve of the Army, where she served with the ARNGUS/OKARNG Branch. Lorraine's military education consisted of her as Med Sp-(3-76), and an Advance NCO (RC) (April 1983), Honorable Discharge. Lorraine was also a PV2 with the Army ARNGUS, 10-06-1973. She was released from Active Duty from Fort Sam in Houston, Tx. 03-15-1976, served as a Medical Sp. With an honorable discharge.

Lorraine leaves to mourn of the home her roommate, friend, sister, and partner of 25 years, Marsha Taylor, and grandkids Frankie and Jonaka Sims, as they called her Nana "Lo" since they were young babies.

Lorraine was loved by lots of people she came in contact with, always with a smile. Her beliefs were hers, but we knew Lorraine was a child of God, lived life, but on February 8, 2026, Lorraine got her wings, and her presence was already known, accepted with open arms.

Rest easy, my sister, and farewell for now. Till we meet at the crossroads. Love you- your baby sis, Sharon.
