AUBURN-Lorraine A. Cavanagh, 76, of Lewiston passed away on Sunday October 22, 2023 at the Odd Fellow's from rapid onset dementia. Lorraine was born in Lewiston on November 23, 1946 a daughter of the late Ernest and Jeannette (Rioux) Tardif. Lorraine graduated from St. Dominic Regional High School. She worked several years in Lewiston for the Public School Department at the High School cafeteria and as a crossing guard for Martel School.
Lorraine was married to Bruce A. Cavanagh on September 28,1968. Together with their sons, they spent their summers at their camp in Leeds. Lorraine enjoyed spending time outside at the lake, riding her bike and walking. She was a member and volunteer at the YMCA for several years and had a great passion for fitness and exercising.
She is survived by her husband Bruce Cavanagh of Lewiston, son Timothy and wife Megan Cavanagh of Leeds, and son Scott Cavanagh of Dover-Foxcroft. Lorraine also leaves behind four grandchildren Owen, Madison, Noah, and Natalie.
The family of Lorraine wishes to extend their sincere thanks to The Odd Fellow's and Rebekahs' Home of Maine for the care and support Lorraine received during her short stay there as well as all of those who have shared thoughts and prayers for Bruce and the Cavanagh family.

A private graveside service will be held for Lorraine's immediate family at St. Peter's Cemetery in Lewiston. Arrangements are under the care of Albert & Burpee Funeral Home & Cremation Services 253 Pine St. Lewiston, 782-7201.
