Lorraine Langfeld, 89, of Rothsay, died Monday, March 24, 2025 at her residence under the care of Vivie Hospice.
Lorraine Ione Hanneman was born March 22, 1936, to William and Nora (Possehl) Hanneman in Fergus Falls Township. She attended District 92 Country School and Fergus Falls High School, graduating in 1955.
On April 10, 1955 Lorraine married Wilbur Langfeld at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls. The couple resided in Fergus Falls, until returning to Wilbur's family farm.
She worked for Northwestern Bell in Fergus Falls. After their office closed in Fergus Falls she transferred to the office in Fargo and continued her career with AT&T until she retired.
Lorraine was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls. She loved fishing, helping on the farm, and playing Bingo.
Preceding her in death were her daughter, Twyla Neumann; husband, Wilbur; grandson, Paul Neumann; brothers, Lyle Hanneman and Richard Hanneman, and sisters, Francis Langfeld Max and Fern Rau.
Lorraine is survived by her sons, Dale (Dawn) Langfeld and Dwight (Barb) Langfeld; son-in-law, Tom Neumann of Rothsay; grandchildren, Travis (Stacy) Neumann, Amanda (Chris) Rash, Brandon (Hillary) Langfeld, Sarah (Sean) Lennick, Alyssa and Jacob Kuhn; great-grandchildren, Weston, Oliver, and Maddie Langfeld, Kaebry and Cooper Lennick, Heather, Austin, and Thomas Rash, and William Neumann.
Memorials preferred to Vivie Hospice.
Service: 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 31, 2025 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls, with visitation one-hour prior to the service at the church.
Clergy: Reverend Chris Lieske
Interment: Burau Cemetery, Foxhome, MN
