Lorraine D. Mullings

Lorraine D. (Lee) Mullings, 75, of Jamaica, passed away in Springfield, MA on February 20, 2025, at Baystate Medical Center. Lorraine was born in Kingston, Jamaica, on January 12, 1950. She was the daughter of the late Leonard Lee and Veda Swaby. She graduated Vauxhall High School in Kingston, Jamaica and later attended trade school for secretarial studies. Lorraine was an employee of the Kingston and St. Andrew Municipal Corporation (KSAC) for 16 years until she was retired early and became a home maker. She was a member of Emanuel Baptist Church in Kingston, Jamaica for more than 29 years. Dancing and laughing were her favorite hobbies, she believed laughter is medicine for the soul and would crack up laughing over the silliest things. She loved crocheting and would frequently make hats and scarves for her children and grandchildren and could even make decorative items for her home.
In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by a brother Morris Winter and a sister Vinette Winter. She left behind living siblings Durwood Swaby and Marlene Swaby of England and Amrita Henry of New York. Lorriane is survived by her husband Keith Mullings of Kingston, Jamaica, her five devoted children Richard Crichton and his wife Stacy of Colorado Spring, CO., Claudia Crichton of Springfield, Monique Crichton Pottinger and her husband James of West Palm Beach, FL., Rhoan Crichton and his wife Kerryann of Springfield and Davin Mullings and his wife Lucricia of Kingston, Jamaica, her step-son Christopher Mullings and his wife Porsha of Virginia. She further leaves her fifteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild and niece Denise Parks and her daughter, nephew Gary Parks and his wife Donna and their 2 daughters, and niece Michelle Hatcher and husband Troy and their 2 children and first cousins Marva Webb and Joretta Price.
A calling hour will be held on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 from 9:30am-1030am at the Byron Keenan Funeral Home and Cremation Tribute Center, 1858 Allen Street, Springfield, MA, 01118, followed by a Funeral Home Service at 10:30am. Burial will be private.
