Lorraine M. Patrick, 95, of Willimantic, passed away on Sunday, August 17, 2025, at Douglas Manor in Windham, surrounded by her loving family. She was the daughter of the late Lionel "Ted" Dube and Irene (LeClaire) Dube Boucher.
Born on October 11, 1929, in Willimantic, CT, Lorraine moved with her family to New Jersey, where she graduated from Passaic Valley High School in 1947. She later returned to Willimantic and worked at the University of Connecticut, where she managed the Copy Center for 22 years before retiring.
Lorraine enjoyed 33 years of retirement, spending her time doing what she loved most. She was proud to be elected the first female President of the Franco American Civic and Social Club, serving terms in 2002, 2003, and 2006. She especially loved playing cards at both the Franco American Civic & Social Club and the Elks Club, visiting "The Sun," playing golf, and-most importantly-spending time with her family.
She is survived by her daughter Barbara McKinney; grandson Donald McKinney (Brianna); and great-grandchildren Bailey and Georgie, whom she adored. She also leaves behind her sister Irene (Patrick); brother Gene (Judy); several nieces and nephews; her very special friends Helen Bacon, Marie Sciacco, Patty Menditto and cousin Ann Bushey, who remained by her side throughout; and her lifelong friend Ida Weaver.
Lorraine was predeceased by her husband of twenty years, James Patrick. She was also fortunate to have been part of the lives of James' children and grandchildren, especially Brian Seckinger and the late Kevin Seckinger.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the staff at Douglas Manor for the exceptional care they provided.
