Lorraine Pierre Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Stone Brothers Funeral Home - Fort Pierce on Jan. 6, 2026.
Lorraine Felton was born on March 14, 1949, in Ocilla, Georgia, to the late Hilman and Deotha Felton. In 1952, the family relocated to Fort Pierce, Florida, where Lorraine completed her secondary education at Lincoln Park Academy, graduating in 1968.

Following high school, Lorraine attended Howard University, where she earned an Associate of Applied Science degree in Culinary Arts. During this time, she also worked at the U.S. Patent Office. In 1969, she welcomed her first son, Glenn Blackstone Jr.

After four years, Lorraine relocated to Newark, New Jersey, where she continued her education at Bloomfield College, earning a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Management. In 1980, she met and later married Kenol Pierre. Their union was blessed in 1985 with the birth of their son, Kenol Pierre Jr.

Lorraine dedicated 16 years of service to New Jersey Bell Telephone Company, working as a drafting engineer. She later returned to Fort Pierce, Florida, where she was employed with the Florida Department of Revenue, Child Support Enforcement, and retired after 15 years of faithful service.

In addition to her professional career, Lorraine was a proud entrepreneur, owning and operating A Touch of Class Catering Company. She was an active member of the St. Lucie County Chamber of Commerce and volunteered her time at the Love Center, where she shared her passion for cooking and serving the community.

Lorraine leaves to cherish her memory her two loving sons, Glenn Blackstone, Jr. (Charisma) and Kenol Pierre, Jr.; her grandchildren, Christopher Blackstone, Tyquan Meadows, and Wyntere Blackstone; her goddaughter, Jahliesa Lucas; her siblings, Maryann Smith, Danny Felton (Barbara), Delphine Malcolm (Jepthah), June Felton, Herman Felton (Barbara), Brenda Ingram (Bobby), and Dorthea Oatts; two great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hilman and Deotha Felton; her grandson, Glenn Blackstone III; and her nephew, Donique Felton.

Lorraine Felton will be remembered for her dedication to family, love for cooking, strong work ethic, and commitment to serving others. Her legacy of love and service will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
