Lorraine Lee Twigg, 94, of Hagerstown, Maryland and formerly of Paw Paw, West Virginia, passed away Friday, September 20, 2024 at Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown.
She was born April 15, 1930 in Paw Paw and was the daughter of the late Leonard Alston Bailey and Emily Jane (Parrill) Bailey Myers.
She was a homemaker, a member of the Boonesboro Christian Church, a life member of the American Veterans Auxiliary and the local AARP.
On December 15, 1945 she married Paul Henry Twigg, Sr. who preceded her in death on May 27, 2010.
Surviving are –
Four daughters –
Celinda Jane Key of Polk City, FL
Fannie Mae Stull of Greencastle, PA
Rosetta Ann Palmer (Dennis) of Boonesboro, MD
Betty Lorraine Palmer (Raymond) of Williamsport, MD
Two brothers –
Preston Bailey of New York
Dale Bailey of Martinsburg, WV
Twelve grandchildren
And a number of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren
Preceding her in death were two sons, Paul Twigg and William Dean Twigg; four brothers, Marshall Bailey, Bernard Bailey, Bryan Bailey and Clarence Bailey and one sister, Sonya Bailey.
The family will receive friends from 12 Noon – 1:00 PM Wednesday, September 25 at Kimble Funeral Home, 188 Moser Avenue in Paw Paw, where a funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday with Doug Munson officiating.
Interment will be at Camp Hill Cemetery.
