Lorrie Whitney (Durrant) Jamieson, 57, formally of Gray, passed away on April 12, 2023. She was born on May 20, 1965 in Portland,Maine to Clarence and Lorraine (Huard) Whitney.
She grew up in Gray and attended Gray-New Gloucester High School.
After high school, she moved to Kentucky where she lived most of the last 38 years. Her husband served in the U.S. Army at Fort Knox.
Lorrie had several interests over the years, but music was her passion. She was a DJ at the club on Fort Knox and places in the area.
In recent years she struggled with several health issues and had been on kidney dialysis for many years.
She was predeceased by her husband, Staff Sgt. Toby Durrant, who passed away in Germany while serving in the U.S. Army. She was also predeceased by her parents, Clarence and Lorraine (Huard) Whitney.
Lorrie is survived by her daughter, Hailiegh Jamieson, stepson, Robert Jamieson of Kansas, stepdaughter, Michele Jamieson; sisters, Karen Austin + husband, Warren, Diane Petersen + husband, Brian, Melissa McAuliffe + husband, Terry, Tammy Foster + husband, Lauren; brother, Todd Whitney + partner, Lori Graffam. She also leaves behind several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She also leaves behind many friends in Kentucky and the surrounding area.
A special thanks to her long time friend, Paulette McKinney, for all of the love, care, she gave during the last few weeks of her life.
