Louie Allison, 85, of Lexington, passed away peacefully on August 23, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.

Born on November 23, 1939, in Lexington, Kentucky lived a life full of hard work, laughter, and faith. He spent his career as a lineman, dedicated to keeping the lights on for his community. After retirement, he found joy in the open road, driving semi trucks and buses for Bluegrass Entertainers, where he met lifelong friends and collected countless stories.

A lifelong lover of Bluegrass music, Louie could often be found tapping his foot to a tune or sharing his favorite songs with family and friends. Above all else, he loved the Lord, and his faith was a guiding light throughout his life.

Louie will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his quick smile, and his unwavering devotion to his family and faith.

He is survived by his wife Maudie Allison; his children Eddy Allison, Luann Allison, Randell Robinson, and Robin Stephens (Scott); his grandchildren Logan Bryan, Seth Bryan (Kate), Brandi Orr (Chris), and Jessica Robinson (Justin); and his six great grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held on August 28, 2025, at Mt. Zion Christian Church at 1pm. Friends and family are invited to gather, share stories, and honor his memory.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Mt. Zion Christian Church.
