Margie G. Carter, 96, wife of the late John Leslie Carter passed away peacefully in her home on Monday August 18,2025 in Lexington Kentucky. Margie was born on September 17, 1928, to the late Thurston and Irene Graves in Lexington. She was a faithful member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church since 1967 where she taught Sunday School for 30 years. Margie is survived by her three sons, John L Botkins 77, Michael Boone Botkins 73, (Carolann) from Lexington, William C Berry 69, (Virginia) from Lakeland Florida. Margie has 5 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 1 great- great Granddaughter.

Margie will be lovingly missed by all of her family and friends.

Arrangements for her funeral will be on Monday August 25 at Kerr Brothers on Main Street. Visitation will be at 11:00 with the funeral service following at 1:00. Margie will be laid to rest beside her late husband in Lexington Cemetery following the funeral.
