In Loving Memory of Louis F. Asker Jr.
With great sadness, we announce the passing of Louis F. Asker Jr., who departed this life on January 25, 2025 at the age of 91. He passed away peacefully in Boise, Idaho, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and strength.
Born on January 3, 1934 in Grangeville, Idaho, Louis lived a life of integrity, dedication, and compassion. Louis was a veteran of the U.S. Army who served honorably during the Allied Occupation of West Germany post WWII. Louis main profession was as an accountant and had many hobbies such as playing the trumpet. He played in numerous bands throughout his lifetime to include in the U.S. Army and for the El Korah Shriners. Throughout his life he was an active member of the Masons,ScottishRite, Shriners, American Legion, Knights of Columbus, International Circus Fans Association, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was a devoted family man, husband, father, brother, son and friend, whose unwavering support and generosity touched the lives of many. Whether through his hard work, his laughter, or the wisdom he freely shared, he made the world a better place for those who knew him.
Louis is survived by his wife of over 53 years, Maria Asker; his children, Albert Asker and his wife Kristin, Tammy Wood (Asker) and her husband Michael, Oscar Asker and his wife Blue, and Eric Asker and his wife Yvette; his grandchildren Benjamin, Gabriel, William, Emmet, Sierra, Kayla and Mason; his brother Sydney Asker and a host of family and friends who will cherish his memory forever. Though he is no longer with us, his spirit will live on in the hearts of those he loved.
A service to honor his life will be held on February 11, 2025 at Relyea Funeral Chapel, 318 N. Latah St., Boise, ID 83706 at 11:00 a.m.
Rest in peace, Louis. You will be deeply missed.
