Louis David "Dave" Barta, of Riverside, NJ, passed away suddenly on October 25, 2023. Dave was born in Riverside and was a lifelong resident of the town. At the time of his passing, he was 76 years old.
Dave is predeceased by his parents, the late Louis and Virginia (nee Worthington) Barta, and his wife, the late Marianne Barta.
He is survived by his children, Rebecca VanWhy (Richard), Colin Tucker, and Robert Tucker; his grandchildren, Brody and Alexander VanWhy, his sister, Gail Barta; and his life partner Lucille Carson and her children.
Dave spent the better part of his career as a shop steward at Hoeganaes Corporation. Dave enjoyed the beach, enjoying great meals, as well as being an avid sports fan. Dave was proud to be a Mason and an active member of the First Moravian Church of Riverside.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather to celebrate Dave's live at the First Moravian Church of Riverside, 228 East Washington Street, on Wednesday, November 8th from 9:30 – 11 am. A service will begin at 11.

There are never enough words to say when a friend passes. David was the life of the party. I am a friend of his sister Gail. They were both alike, full of fun and laughter. He is gone too soon, but is at rest. I heard that Heaven was a great and glorious place, enjoy peace with THE LORD.
