Lou Calderone, age 75, of Florida and formerly Long Island, NY, passed away on July 16, 2025. He began his career at the Department of the Air Force as a Facility Manager and then began working in Suffolk County, NY, becoming Deputy Commissioner for the Department of Public Works. Lou worked tirelessly to enhance the county, one of his proudest accomplishments being the 9/11 Memorial erected in Hauppauge. He assisted and worked with many along the way, creating lasting friendships that extended well beyond his years in the Air Force and the County.

Lou also served in the Air National Guard, retiring as a Senior Master Sergeant after 21 years. He has been enjoying his retirement restoring classic cars, serving on various committees in the local communities, and proudly serving as a Volunteer Sheriff for Palm Beach County's Sheriff's Department.

Lou was a loving husband and father who will be greatly missed.
